HERUKA reveal new details for "Panacea" and launch new single "Taedium Vitae"

Cult black metal act Heruka returns with "Panacea", a six-track EP fully sung in Italian poetry-style lyrics, continuing the approach of their previous full-length Memorie. The death theme remains at the core of this release, reinforcing the band’s dark and evocative storytelling.

A new track, "Taedium Vitae", has been released as a visualizer and is now available on all major streaming platforms.

The cover artwork pays tribute to the death of Arria and Paetus, a dramatic episode from ancient Rome. Paetus, a prisoner after a failed revolt against Emperor Claudius, was urged by his wife Arria to take his own life rather than endure dishonor. When he hesitated, Arria demonstrated her resolve by stabbing herself, handing him the dagger with the words, "It does not hurt, Paetus." The artwork is based on François-André Vincent’s 1784 painting of the event.

Panacea will be released on March 21, 2025, in a limited edition digipack CD via Rude Awakening Records and will also be available on all major streaming platforms.

HERUKA: a celebratory footage coming soon

    Rude Awakening Records' next release will see the continuation of the collaboration with HERUKA: after publishing their latest full "No Sun Dared Pass Our Windows" last year, the label and the long estabilished Black Metal band from Rome have worked on a celebratory footage of the most recent activity years of the band, that will appear in their next release “Dust from the Deception Sun – A Live Selection from Three Years of Black Metal”. This release will contain an intense filming session, including more than one hour of video material shot at the Boiler Studio (Rome) and songs taken from the latest albums of the band, marking a stable return in the Italian Metal scene: “Deception’s End” (2018), “Turning to Dust” (2019) e “No Sun Dared Pass Our Windows” (2020). SALEM UK: cover, tracklist and first single from “Outer Limits”

Following the signing announcement for Rude Awakening Records, SALEM UK is now ready to unveil the first details about upcoming album “Outer Limits”. This release is inspired by Hull Fair, which takes place in the band’s home town. It is the biggest travelling fair in Europe, officially launched in 1279; it’s a historical event where visitors can find any kind of ride. Each track title of “Outer Limits” has a carnival element and many are named after one of the rides, bringing the carnival theme to the whole album.
